Get to know the photographer and why she decided to start a business.

I grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico. After graduating with my Bachelor's in 2014, I started working as a Wildlife Biologist, working temp jobs for the United States Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management, where I discovered my love for photography. I decided to start my own business after a few friends of mine in Oregon encouraged me to do so. They said I was a natural, so upon my return to Las Cruces, I gave it a shot. I started by getting a donation from a small business that was a portable, well-used

studio. I acquired lenses and lighting equipment as well as a backdrop from a client who preferred being in front of the camera rather than behind it. The more that happened, the more I realized it was time to start my own business. I decided I wanted to give back when I could since the community was kind enough to give me the opportunity to get started. I was taking pet photos for Action Programs for Animals at the time, and that’s how clients found me. I started getting the courage to do more, and that’s how it started. I love photographing pets, families, and commercial photography. Commercial photography consists of personal branding, headshots, real estate, product photography, events, portraits, and much more. I offer model calls every so often, when I want to learn something new to add to my business. This gives those a chance who may not be able to afford my prices to jump in and get a few free digital images. I am constantly working and learning to improve my style every day. I want to provide what's best for my clients, by providing photos of those unforgettable moments, as they are a gift of time that you won't get back again. I started this business loving the creativity behind it as well as being able to capture the memories that come with it. To give that to those who choose to hire me by photographing those moments with pictures that last a lifetime, (I know I cherish every image of my loved ones that I have). At times, I wish I had more photos of those moments. I want to be able to provide that for my clients so they can be in those memories and not behind the camera all the time. I want to allow them to be able to relax and enjoy the moment while actually being in the images themselves.
