       About Me

Hi, my name is Tabitha Rossman. I live in Las Cruces, New Mexico. After graduating with my Bachelor’s in 2014, I started working as a Wildlife Biologist, working temp jobs for the United States Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management, where I re-discovered my love for photography.

When I am not out taking photos or editing, I stay active by hiking or caving. I love to explore and see new things, as well as traveling. I enjoy doing pet photography, where I tend to spend my free time taking photos of rescue animals to help them find them forever home. I am working with the Fire Department taking photos of their training and going out on calls. I pretty much almost always have a camera in my hands. I love learning new things and am always working to improve, whether for myself as a person or with my photographs to get the next best shot.

I love to travel and see new things and have new experiences. I have had the opportunity to visit Belize City, and the Spanish Keys in the Belize Islands, and would love to add to that many more adventures both in and out of the U.S. My hope is one day travel as a photographer and capture the splendors of people and animals alike.

If you are looking for a photographer to capture the moments, memories, who will provide good quality images, please contact me. I am also willing to travel outside of the City of Las Cruces, within New Mexico. I look forward to working with you and to provide you with amazing images.

              Fun Facts\

  •  I am from a military family, but we didn’t relocate. I stayed in Las Cruces, N.M., where I was raised to be closer to my grandparents and my dad’s side of the family.

  • I got my love for the outdoors from my dad.  As a child, he would take me hiking whenever he was home on leave from active duty.

  •  During college, I worked in a Research Museum and a Natural History Museum; teaching the public about the native wildlife in the state of New Mexico.

  •  I got my love for animals from my grandmother. I was always around her birds and her dogs, as well as a few of her reptiles.

  •  I have four Basset Hounds. I adopted my first one 14 years ago, and I just fell in love with the breed. I tend to adopt the ones no one else wants to keep. But that’s okay!  They have made the best pets and they are my fur babies.

  •  I am a bit of a nerd. I grew up playing video games with my childhood best friend for 25 years, then studying wildlife biology and being outdoors all the time; and now, I do photography full time.

  •  I am an introvert and photography, especially photographing pets, helps me to relate to people.

  •  When I was a kid, I told my parents I want to do something that makes me happy, I don’t want to be unhappy for the rest of my life. Whether that be work in wildlife or photography, as long as it’s something I feel passionate about.

  •  My biggest accomplishment thus far is graduating from college with a bachelor’s degree in Science. As a kid I was always told I would never graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree or go to college at all, and that I should drop out of school at 16. I struggled, but I never gave up and I earned my degree!

  • Lastly, on my bucket list at the moment is to now travel and see more of the world. I have been to almost all 50 states doing Wildlife work, but I would like to visit other countries as well.
